Resources to Help You Study

On this page you will find some credible resources to  learn from outside sources.  Remember, in America we already speak English, so most of us do not know about these kinds of learning resources.

Just take 1.webp

Youglish
Wanna hear how real people actually say words in English? YouGlish lets you search a word and hear it in clips from YouTube. Super useful for getting the rhythm, accent, and vibe of natural speech.

Engoo
Engoo’s like a giant library of free English lessons. You’ll find short articles with vocab, questions, and explanations. Perfect if you want extra practice outside of class.

Urban Dictionary
This is where you find the real slang people are using — not textbook English. Just a heads-up: it can be funny, wild, and sometimes not super polite, but it’s great for learning what people actually mean on the street or online.

Duolingo
A fun app that turns language learning into a game. Quick lessons, daily streaks, and challenges. It’s not super deep, but it keeps you practicing every day.

Fluent Forever
This one’s all about training your ear and mouth to sound more natural in American English. It’s exercises and tools that help you nail pronunciation so people understand you clearly.
